Kingman High School
The KHS Class or 1939 met at the VFW Hall for their 63rd class reunion. Fourteen class members were in attendance. Gene Yeoman, Laguna Hills, CA received the prize for coming the longest distance. Margaret (Thissen) Osner, Kingman, most grandchildren, Viola (Schrader) Stucky, Pretty Prairie, for being married the longest and Ben Gracey, Berryville, AR received the door prize.
The Class of '39 regrets that many members are no longer with them, and some unable to travel. With this in mind, all KHS classes that have celebrated 60 years or more were invited to attend a 2:30 meeting. Representatives from the classes of 1934, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941 and 1942 were present. It was voted to form a "Senior KHS Alumni Group", with Dr. Lester Donley as chairman. All classes having celebrated their 60th anniversaries will meet together each year on the Saturday before Memorial Day, beginning on May 24, 2003. Since another class will be added each year, there is the possibility of a long life for this group. Help is needed in getting an up to date list of class members to Dr. Lester Donley, 303 East Copeland, Kingman, KS 67068 and being available when he asks for help.
